Privacy Policy

[CHECK: this is a draft. Have it reviewed before publishing, and set the date above to when it takes effect.]
The short version: Screedio works on your device. We don’t have accounts, we don’t run servers that receive your screenshots, and we don’t track you.
Screedio is made by yake [CHECK: legal name and address of the person or company publishing the app] (“we”, “us”). This policy covers the Screedio app for iPhone.
What Screedio works with
Screedio helps you sort screenshots, add notes and reminders, and build Studio boards from cutouts. To do that it uses:
- Your screenshots. With your permission, Screedio reads screenshots from your photo library. The library view is filtered to screenshots. You can also pick individual images with Apple’s photo picker instead of granting full access.
- What you create. Notes, pins, reminder times, boards, cutouts, folders, and preferences.
- Notifications. If you allow them, Screedio schedules reminder notifications locally on your device.
On-device processing
All of this is processed and stored on your device. Subject cutouts in Studio use Apple’s on-device Vision framework — your images are not sent to us or to any third-party service to be processed.
We do not collect, receive, or store your screenshots, notes, boards, or any other content you create.
No accounts, no ads, no tracking
- There is no sign-up and no Screedio account.
- Screedio contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. [CHECK: confirm no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs ship in the build]
- We don’t sell or share your data, and we don’t track you across apps or websites.
iCloud
If iCloud sync is turned on, your Screedio data is stored in your private iCloud account and synced between your devices by Apple. We can’t access it. iCloud is governed by Apple’s terms and privacy policy, and you can turn it off at any time in iOS Settings. [CHECK: the current build has no iCloud entitlement or sync. Remove this section if sync doesn’t ship.]
Your Screedio data is also included in your regular iPhone backups (iCloud Backup or computer), which Apple or your computer handle.
Purchases and subscriptions
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. We never see your payment details. Apple tells the app only what it needs to unlock features — for example, whether you own Screedio Pro or have an active subscription, and when it renews or expires. Apple’s handling of purchase data is covered by Apple’s privacy policy. [CHECK: the current build sells Pro as a one-time purchase (com.screedio.pro.lifetime). Keep the subscription wording only if subscriptions ship.]
Permissions and your choices
You can decline or revoke photo and notification access at any time in Settings → Screedio. Screedio keeps working with fewer features.
Because your data lives on your device, you control it: delete screenshots, notes, reminders, boards, and folders inside the app, or delete the app to remove all of its local data.
Children
Screedio isn’t directed at children under 13 [CHECK: age, depending on your App Store age rating and target markets], and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone — of any age.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll also mention it in the app or in the App Store release notes.
